The Jivamukti Method is grounded in the original meaning of the Sanskrit word asana as “seat, connection” – relationship to the Earth. Jivamukti Yoga maintains that one’s relationship to others (asana) should be mutually beneficial and come from a consistent place of joy and happiness. This core philosophy is expressed through five tenets, which form the foundation of Jivamukti Yoga: Ahimsa (Nonviolence), Bhakti (Devotion), Dhyana (Meditation), Nada (Sounds), and Shastra (Scripture). Jivamukti teachers embody these tenets.
Each class will include chanting, meditation, breath work and a focus on:

Week 2: Balancing Postures
Week 3: Dhyana - Meditation
Week 4: Backbending Postures
Week 5: Shastra - Scripture
Week 6: The Magic 10
Week 7: Forwardbending Postures
Week 8: Spiritual Warrior
Week 9: Pranayama
This nine-class series is open to all levels. Meets Saturdays at 10:30 am - 12:00 pm from June 2 to July 28. Cost is $10 to drop in, or commit to all nine classes for $80. Class Passes & Unlimited Memberships cannot be used for this series. Register here.
