The great B.K.S. Iyengar popularized the use of yoga props such as blocks, blankets, belts, bolsters, and chairs as aids in performing yoga asana or poses. Props enable students to perform asanas correctly, minimizing the risk of injury or strain, and making yoga poses accessible to all.
This workshop is all about how to use props effectively and correctly in a variety of poses. Through a hands-on approach, you will learn not just how, but when and why we use different props.
Yoga props are not just for tight or injured people. Experience how props can open you up, allow you to go deeper, and develop your understanding of poses and their effects on the mind and body.
