A transition is the dynamic movement between statically held postures. Learning and refining yoga transitions allows one to invoke a moving meditation by embodying continual flow.
Bandhas are the internal locks that stabilize the physical structure and, on a deeper level, offer an internal focal point to bind ones consciousness to (sense withdrawal). Utilizing the bandhas in yoga postures creates stability, deep core strength, and float in the postures and transitions. This workshop is an inspired, alignment based exploration of creative yoga sequencing, transitions, bandhas, pranayama and how the bandhas apply to it, and mantra.
A full spectrum practice will be explored, with emphasis on: Backbends, binds, and inversions.
