Dharana translates as 'concentration,' and is the ability to focus one's awareness on one place, object, or idea for a concentrated length of time. The ability to concentrate is necessary before meditation can arise, and this ability is said to emanate from the third eye center, Ajna Chakra.
This workshop is a kinesthetic exploration of a variety of yogic techniques that assist in developing one-pointed focus and psychic concentration, including, mantra, pranayama, meditation (trataka), and asana. Asana focus will be on inversions, binds, and back bends.
