Yoga as a Long Term Relationship
October 25-27, 2019
Anyone who has ever been in a long term relationship of any kind will tell you it requires maturity and a strong skill set to make it enjoyable and beneficial. Long term committed relationships suffer and eventually die without regular care. And so it is with our yoga practice. If you want to feel good and enjoy the benefits of yoga for a lifetime, there are some very important things you need to know. This weekend will give you keys and insight into what steps you can take to stay connected to both the physical and mental gifts of the great practice of yoga.

Designed for yogis over age 50 and yoga teachers, this class is for all who are willing and able to work to stay as strong and flexible as possible. Growing older is not for sissies and even the fittest among us will have to deal with joint wear and tear and stiffness, among other issues in their tissues that are the gifts of being on the planet for a long time. Desiree has worked closely with a Physical Therapist to develop these teachings and uses them to keep herself and her students strong and healthy into their 80’s. In this class, along with proper focus on strength, alignment and breath, we will learn various strengthening techniques and yoga poses to keep our bodies healthy so that we can continue to practice without fear.
