Saturday, May 25, 2019
Noon to 3 pm
Sraddha translates as 'faith' or 'belieIt is the concept that no matter what, one is unconditionally supported by the essence of all that is. To allow unconditional faith in the universe into one's heart, a strong sense of trust must be cultivated. Trust that in even in the darkest of times, all is perfect and in divine order. Sraddha can be cultivated through the practice of bhakti (devotional love) yoga. Bhakti can be expanded into every corner of our practice with the right intention and attitude. By cultivating bhakti energy in our practice, we allow the prayer within our own hearts to express and free itself through the offering of our breath, sweat, and voice.
This workshop will explore the concepts of sraddha and bhakti within the context of a dynamic heart opening/backbending practice, chanting mantras that awaken our connection to the divine, and yogic philosophy from the Bhagavad Gita. Intermediate Level. Cost is $35 drop-in.
